Sound of Madison Places Third in Small Chorus Category

There were twenty very happy singers in Mad Town May 18 when the Sound of Madison returned home proudly sporting small chorus division third place ribbons from this year's Region 22 competition.
Of our nineteen members on stage, nine were competing for the very first time. They added a fresh enthusiasm to our ranks and inspired us all with positive energy.
We were thrilled to win our first ever competition award and especially to achieve this without any outside coaching at all but with the hard work and dedication of all chorus members and the guidance of our talented director, Nancy Pike, who serves as coach, teacher, director and general cheerleader.
We encourage women who enjoy singing to attend one of our rehearsals and see and hear what we do. We rehearse every Tuesday at 7 p.m. at Lake Edge Lutheran Church, 4032 Monona Drive.
