UCP Ability Day

UCP Ability Day focuses on "abilities" rather than "disabilities". This workplace fundraising event will promote the goal of "Life without limits for people with disabilities".

UCP Ability Day is scheduled for June 16, but may take place any day that is convenient for participating companies through July 31. UCP Ability Day is a day for area businesses to show their support of United Cerebral Palsy and individuals with disabilities. Area employees are asked to participate in "Casual Day", "Laps at Lunch" or "Fun for a Cause" and raise funds for UCP. Companies may select any day that suits their schedules. Participants have a chance to win a Door County getaway, Badger football tickets and more! Every $5 donated earns a chance to win! UCP apparel and merchandise purchased counts for the drawing and must be ordered through company coordinators. Taste of Madison

The Taste of Madison is an annual event on the Capitol Square during Labor Day weekend at which local restaurants sell samples from their menus. UCP recruits and manages over 600 volunteers who sell beverages to the public.
You can help by being a part of the UCP team effort.

Groups or individuals are needed to sell beer or soda.

Sat & Sun shifts of approximately three hours offered.

Two licensed bartenders needed at each beer stand.

Only people over age 21 may serve beer.

Adults and high school groups are encouraged to staff soda stands.

There is a brief training before the event for bartenders & Supervisors. For individuals interested in obtaining a bartender license, UCP will refund the cost of the license and class, with proof of age and receipts.Call 273-4434 or e-mail ucpgdc@ucpdane.org for more information.

Celebrity Banquet

Save the date for the 20th Annual Celebrity Banquet!

UCP will host its annual Celebrity Banquet & Auction on Saturday, February 24, 2007 at 5:30 p.m. at Blackhawk Country Club. The silent auction will feature over 150 unique items. Later a delicious dinner will be served by well known community celebrities, who will interact with guests by playing a trivia game, signing autographs and other fun activities. The evening's wait staff will include media personalities and UW Badger athletes, who lend their time and talents to raise tips to benefit UCP.
