GSA for Safe Schools Volunteer for the Walk/Run/Eat on October 11th

GSA for Safe Schools is looking for volunteers to play the role of "course marshal" for their Walk/Run/Eat on Sunday, October 11th. Course marshals will be stationed along the 5K route to help direct walkers and runners and insure that they are obeying traffic laws. Course marshals also get to help motivate and cheer along Walk/Run/Eat participants.

Gilda's Club Madison Wisconsin Magic 98 Concert for Gilda’s Club
As in the past, the outpouring of your volunteerism is key to the success of this worthwhile event. The gift of your time will ensure that this fundraiser will achieve its goals, and the donations raised will help build the clubhouse and maintain its program. We’d like to thank Kim Francour, the Event Project Manager for Magic 98’s Concert for Gilda’s Club. Kim is a volunteer and has put in many, many hours working with everyone to plan and coordinate this special event to ensure its success. We’re also thankful to Amy Nickles, our Events Coordinator (as well as our Volunteer Coordinator) for all of her help.
Gilda's Club Madison Wisconsin Magic 98’s Concert for Gilda’s Club
Incentive Coordinator Two volunteers needed to assist in coordinating the incentives that will be offered for pledges or donations during the Magic 98 Concert for Gilda’s Club; assist in contacting businesses who have offered incentives in the past, as well as soliciting support from local businesses to provide gift certificates, merchandise, and apparel. Assist the Post Broadcast Team to package and ship incentives. Initial incentives have been identified; however, assistance in coordinating the logistics of this project is needed. The ideal person would have established relationships with local retail businesses and have strong communication and organizational skills. Gilda's Club Madison Wisconsin Magic 98’s Concert for Gilda’s Club
Radiothon Phone Volunteers Approximately 90 volunteers are needed to help answer phone lines at Magic 98 during the three-day concert. Volunteers with great phone skills are needed to assist in answering listeners’ calls and collect contact and pledge information. Volunteers from last year’s event have said that the experience was very rewarding. Food and beverages will be provided by Magic 98 and local restaurants. Attire is casual. Volunteers are needed each of the three days from 7:00am to11:00am; 11:00am to 3:00pm; and 3:00pm to 7:00pm. Volunteers should arrive 15 minutes prior to your scheduled time for a brief training overview. Contact us at volunteer@gildasclubmadison.org or 608/273-8880.
Gilda's Club Madison Wisconsin Magic 98’s Concert for Gilda’s Club
Post Broadcast Follow-Up We are very excited to have the support of the Madison Junior Women’s Club to assist in sending out follow-up letters to those who pledged or donated during the Magic 98 Concert for Gilda’s Club. Five volunteers are needed to provide support to the efforts of Madison Junior Woman’s Club, volunteers are needed to assist in follow up correspondence, incentive distribution and mailings. This is a key activity to ensure that individuals who contributed receive their incentives and are recognized and thanked for their generous donations. Volunteers will work at the Gilda’s Club Madison Wisconsin offices, 3000 Cahill Main, Suite 201, Madison, WI on Thursday, June 21 from 8:30am to 12:30pm and/or Thursday, June 28 from 1:00 pm to 4:30 pm. Grassroots Leadership College Hooping Volunteer
Come to the Farmers Market on Wednesday afternoon or Saturday morning to hula hoop and hand out flyers about the GLC's upcoming Hula Hoopla fundraiser taking place Sunday, September 13th.
