Volunteer or Offer Support!
Volunteer!
As with many "non-profits", we are constantly looking for volunteers. Our needs revolve around our two art fairs (July and November). Volunteers give exhibitors breaks, staff our information booths, help with our exhibitors' party, take tickets, and much more. Please note, you do not have to be a member to volunteer your help.
Offer Financial Support!
Both individuals and businesses can offer financial assistance or in-kind donations to support our art fairs, scholarship funds, and other activities. These contributions are tax-deductible to the full extent of the law. WAAC is successfully run by artists for other artists. We do not attempt to make a profit on either of our art fairs. (We've been pretty successful with this goal.) If you want to offer your support to Wisconsin artists, please consider a contribution.

Wisconsin Wetlands Association
|
Advocacy Assistant Wisconsin Wetlands Association strives to serve as the "eyes and ears" of Wisconsin's wetland enthusiasts at the state capitol regarding important policy, judicial, legislative or legal activities that would have a lasting negative affect on wetlands in the state. But personal testimony from citizens can be much more powerful than direct lobbying by our staff on many issues. We rely on volunteer advocates from all parts of the state to voice their opinions by contacting legislators and other elected officials and by attending and presenting testimony at wetland-related public hearings. Can you be a Wetlands Advocate? Contact us at policy@wisconsinwetlands.org or 608-250-9971.

Wisconsin Wetlands Association
|
Outreach Booth Volunteers An important part of the mission of the Wisconsin Wetlands Association is public education about the value of wetlands for our communities. We have produced an attractive, portable display that explains the work Wisconsin Wetlands Association does to protect and advocate on behalf of wetlands. We use this display at events like Canoecopia, garden shows, community fairs, and other events. We are looking for people to help staff our booth at events, which would involve offering Wisconsin Wetlands Association literature to visitors and signing interested people up to receive our newsletter. No formal training is required - just enthusiasm for wetlands and Wisconsin Wetlands Association's mission. Our staff and volunteers will assist new volunteers so that they are familiar with the materials. Families are welcome! Contact WWA at 608-250-9971.
