About Us
WOMEN IN FOCUS was created to help support the education of minority youth through:
(1) Developing and maintaining programs which provide
funding for education through scholarships,
grants and educational materials,
(2) Sponsoring and promoting charitable activities
which create and enhance learning opportunities
for youth and families,
(3) Supporting educational opportunities for minority
youth.
To date our organization has awarded over 140 scholarships and $125,000 to support our endeavor.
To provide scholarships to youth we host our annual "I Have A Dream Ball" which occurs in January of each year.
We also have a Literacy Volunteer Project where our members go into the community and read to youth.
Women In Focus has been in existence since 1984.
