Miss Annie Mae's Hats: Church Hats from the Black Community A Celebration with Photos and Stories

Auction Saturday, June 17, 1PM Lussier Family Heritage Center

Annie Mae's Hats will show Annie Mae McClain's personal collection of hats, commissioned or purchased over her lifetime to wear to services at the Tabernacle Church in Milwaukee. Through accompanying photographs and text, this exhibition will examine the tradition of wearing elegant, fancy hats to church by members of the Black community in Milwaukee.
