Madison Writergrrls

About Us

In the fall of 2003, the first Madison Writergrrls meeting was held at Room of One's Own. Now, six years later, here we are still going strong! The Madison Writergrrls is a social and professional organization created to support women writers in Madison and Dane County. We are dedicated to fostering the development of an inspired writing community of women of all ages. Writers of all genres: fiction, poetry, drama, memoir and other non-fiction, and keepers of secret journals are invited to share work in this forum.

Three things make our group especially strong:

1. We are supportive, but offer honest feedback.
2. We assist each other with writer's block.
3. We do goal-setting exercises to make sure each of us follows her vision.
