Ygdrasil Literary Society is a unique Madison organization that now continues into its second century. Ygdrasil's goals are to foster knowledge of, and to increase pride in, Scandinavian history, traditions and achievements. We meet one Saturday night per month, except during the summer, to hear a presentation about Scandinavia and to have dessert. Our year ends with the May 17 Syttende Mai dinner.

Our existence for over a century means that many members have found these goals to be worthwhile and important in our lives. As you become better acquainted with Ygdrasil, perhaps you will find yourself to be qualified for membership and interested in joining us. We are always interested in new members.
