Why do I receive an error message when searching for an archived article?
If you have received an error while accessing an archived article, more than likely there is a problem with the web address of that archived article. There is a portion of that web address that needs to be removed in order to access that particular article without error.
Within the web address of the archived article you have selected, the text (and portion of the web address) that needs to be deleted appears after "ref=" within the web address.
After "ref=" please delete: "/madison.com/html/archive_files"
For example, this article web address (below) returns an error:
http://www.madison.com/archives/read.php?ref=/madison.com/html/archive_files/wsj/1991/07/10/9107050285.php
However, when "/madison.com/html/archive_files" is removed, the article is retrieved without error.
http://www.madison.com/archives/read.php?ref=/wsj/1991/07/10/9107050285.php
