Triple M is teaming up with Don's Home Furniture to reward classrooms and celebrate reading. Blaine at Don's Home Furniture has visited a lot of his children's classrooms, only to find teachers reading to kids in rickety old rocking chairs that were probably less than safe. That's why he wants to remedy that situation by giving away a sturdy, beautiful Amish rocking chair each month.
This new venture has also got me excited about reading again! I was a voracious reader as a kid. Some of my favorite books were mysteries featuring that clever teen detective, Trixie Belden. I also loved books by Zilpha Keatley Snyder, like The Egypt Game and The Velvet Room. I love giving books as a gift for children as well. One of my favorites for newborns is Time for Bed by Mem Fox. The illustrations are gorgeous, and the writing is almost poetic.
