Holly Marie (Matecki) Priske, age 33, of Madison, died unexpectedly on Friday, Sept. 23, 2011.

She was born Dec. 23, 1977, in Madison, the daughter of Patricia (Hornung) Matecki. She graduated from East High School and Edgewood College with a degree in psychology. Holly and Brian Priske were united in marriage 10 years ago on June 2, 2001, at St. Peter's Catholic Church.

She was the best, most devoted wife, mother and daughter. She had a fantastic, infectious smile. Her gentle, strong spirit allowed others to be themselves around her. Her creativity and caring about others was a great gift to family and friends. She always put others before herself and never had a bad word to say about anyone. When we lost her, we lost the better two thirds of ourselves.

Holly is survived by her husband, Brian Priske and daughter, Reyne; her mother, Pat Matecki; special uncle, Homer Butteris; mother and father-in-law, Tom and Judy Priske; sister-in-law, Jennifer (Joe) Tomlinson; and extended family and friends.

She was preceded in death by a son, Broderick Charles Priske; special aunt, Betty Butteris; and maternal grandparents, Peter and Lillian Hornung.

We are grateful to those who have assisted and supported us during our time of loss. We invite you to bring pictures, memorabilia and stories to the visitation and place them in a scrapbook for Brian and Reyne.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 30, 2011, at ST. PETER CATHOLIC CHURCH, 5001 N. Sherman Ave. with Father Roger Nilles presiding. Burial will follow at St. Mary of the Lake Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. - 8 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 29, 2011, at RYAN FUNERAL HOME, 2418 N. Sherman Ave. and again at the church on Friday from 10 a.m. until the time of Mass.
