What's in a blog?

I'm working on a project where I'm studying blogs - specifically, the elements that make someone read a blog every day.
I'd like to hear about some of your favorite blogs. What makes you go to that site every day (or subscribe to an RSS feed)? Is it content? Timely updates? Layout?
It's interesting to see what different people like, and what they respond to. Some want utter seriousness, others like gossipy, fluffy content. Everyone has a subject they like - whether it's music, movies, TV, video games, etc. But beyond the specifics of that content, what it is that draws you to the site?
If you've ever stopped reading a blog, why?
