My Russ Lieber Complex

Why would you want to keep U.S. troops in Iraq?  According to Sgt. Kevin Lewis, who has become one of the loudest voices opposing the Bring the Troops Home Now referendum, we need to protect Iraqis while killing Iraqis.  Like Vietnam, that is an impossible military task.  We do not have a military solution left in Iraq.  We need to be political and solving the civil war in Iraq will only be accomplished diplomatically.  Steve Burns from the Wisconsin Network for Peace and Justice points out that all of the work done to get the Bring the Troops Home Now referendum on the ballot in 32 Wisconsin communities today, shows the commitment to support the troops by putting them in a position to succeed.

Happy First Anniversary to Dane101.com.  They're celebrating Wednesday night starting at 9pm at the High Noon Saloon on East Washington Avenue featuring Lorenzo's Music.  For the record, I must complain about Dane101.com's continued support for Russ Lieber, their favorite Madison left-wing talk show host.  In a poll on their website, I lost to Russ Lieber for Madison's favorite.  Dane101.com has even endorsed Lieber for the Madison School Board.   Russ Lieber, for the record, is a character created by David Cross who can be seen on Comedy Central's Colbert Report.  I can only hope that the contributors to Dane101.com are just sleeping through the Pro-Show.

On Wednesday's Pro-Show, we'll tackle our health care crisis with Progressive Dane and we'll shoot-down our state's discrimination amendment with the League of Women Voters of Wisconsin.  Plus, Darcy Haber from Citizen Action Wisconsin will offer more populace solutions.  We'll also, of course, talk about the results of the elections.  Let's see Russ Lieber put a talk show together like this!
