Well, time flies. Two years ago, nearly to the day, I started a thread about Madison's best salad bar. Now here's the shocker: I still agree with my initial post.

Now, the Shorewood Copps is decent too, but nothing else is springing to mind.

Does Copps have a stranglehold on the salad bars in this town? Where's the competition?

Some of my criteria:

- Fresh veggies (naturlich)

- A variety of cheeses, including feta

- A variety of peppers, bell and hot

- A variety of legumes

- Spinach

- Nice selection of dressings

- Real bacon bits

- Fresh fruit
