A couple of things found while surfing, 8-bit Mario cookie and a man playing the Mario theme song on a flute WHILE BEAT BOXING.
Mario is a good icon for gamers. It's one of the earliest faces we associate with gaming. It's one of the reasons we see so much of his mustached-mug today.
