Tea in the Yahara
Between Wis-Kino's Spring Kabaret, the kickoff of Hip Hop As A Movement Week, and Sunday night's Enon / His & Her Vanities / Karmella's Game show, there's certainly no shortage of things to do this weekend.
But on the off chance that it'd otherwise get lost in the
shuffle, I feel it's my responsibility to remind everyone that
tonight tomorrow night is your last chance to take
part in a Grand Madison Tradition (at least for a while): The
Kissers will be performing their Johnny Cash Tribute Show for the
last time ever (or, yeah, so they say) tonight
Saturday night at The Annex:
The Kissers have decided to perform this show in light of their upcoming break from performing. The band just celebrated its ten-year anniversary and will be having a "Farewell For Now," show in June. There will be more on that later. For now it's important for everyone to know that this is the last chance to see The Kissers' Johnny Cash Tribute Show.
And even if Johnny Cash (or The Kissers, for that matter) ain't your bag, check out the support this show is drawing:
The night will begin with Danny Paris and the 'Shiners which contains ex-members of the Back '40s, Arena Venus, and Tar Babies playing classic country/'50s rockabilly stomps.
That emphasis is mine, of course. I had been planning to head to the Union, but I think I may have just changed my mind.
