Ticket Giveaway: Colin Meloy at the Barrymore

Quick: What are you doing tomorrow night?

If your go-to answer was anything like "Well, nothing, really, because I just couldn't manage to bring myself to actually purchase tickets to see Colin Meloy play at the Barrymore with special guest Laura Gibson," then it just might be your lucky day.

As it happens, I have two tickets for tomorrow night's show, courtesy of True Endeavors. For a chance to get your grubby little hands on them, just fire off some o' that ol' e-mail at yaharatea [at] gmail [dot] com before 10:00 a.m. tomorrow (that's Wednesday, April 23, 2008).

Our winner will be chosen (at random, of course) early tomorrow morning and notified at noon -- which should be plenty of time for you to find a date for the show, right? Right.

For an idea as to what to expect from the show itself, well, just check out the set list from Meloy's Sunday night appearance in Toronto. I'd think that would be a fairly good indication.

(Of course, not being a big fan of the Decemberists -- for which, sure, you can shoot me later -- I'd probably prefer that Meloy lean heavier on selections from Sings Sam Cooke and Sings Morrissey tomorrow night than on anything from the official back catalog. Admittedly, though, that's probably just me.)
