If I weren't sure what to do tonight, I'm sure I'd be heading out to catch the Josh Ritter show at the High Noon Saloon. But I wouldn't necessarily be going to see (and hear) Ritter -- who I like just fine, by the way.

No, I'd be making my way over to the still-fashionable East Side to catch Ritter's opening act, Dawn Landes, who I ended up missing when she opened for Jason Isbell back in February. While I may or may not end up being able to attend -- I've got a lot going on these days, as it happens, and may end up missing Landes yet again -- if you're on the fence about tonight's show, well, let's just say you really shouldn't be.
