Privacy policy
The
Capital Times collects no data on users of its web site. We do not put
cookies on your computer nor do we collect personal information on visitors.
As we add features, such as discussion groups that may require registration,
we will update this policy to reflect that.
There are links on our site to make it easy for you to send
e-mail to members of our staff. Of course, your e-mail address will appear
on those communications, but we do not use those e-mails for marketing
purposes. On occasion, madison.com runs online contests and participants
who consent may have their e-mail addresses included in our marketing
data base.
For site management, we also collect information for statistical
purposes. We use software programs to create summary statistics, which
are used to assess which content is of most and least interest. These
programs are not used to identify individual users.
This
policy applies only to pages with The Capital Times logo on them. It does
not necessarily apply to pages in madison.com, to advertisers, to partners
like CyberCivic or to external sites to which we provide links. You should
check the privacy policies of those sites if you are concerned about how
they operate.
