CNET, a great source for product reviews, wrote this week about
soon-to-debut new versions of two popular products: The Palm Trio
and the Sony PS3 game system.
It described the Palm Treo Pro, which was unveiled Wednesday and
is aimed at business users, as "looking pretty
sharp, both inside and out."
The design is sleeker, and it sports a 320x320-pixel resolution
touch screen and features a screensaver that will show the time,
any missed calls or new text/multimedia messages at a glance. It

At first glance, it was strange to see the defensive coaches on the UW football staff wearing headsets last Saturday at Camp Randall Stadium. After all, this was just a scrimmage. But coaches need practice, too. And the defensive staff is led by a new coordinator (Dave Doeren) and includes a new member of the staff (defensive line coach Charlie Partridge), Doeren wanted to use the scrimmage as a test run before the Badgers open the season ...

You've probably seen JoAnne Pow!ers performing her
self-described "frenetic saxophone abuse" on State St. at night.
She usually plays solo in front of what's now Ben &

her solo playing many a night walking up and down State St., but I
can find no better way to explain what it sounds like than this,
