We got an inquiry the other day as to my whereabouts, and I figured this was the best place to answer. I have been reassigned to be a multimedia producer for The Capital Times, so I won't be on the Wisconsin men's hockey beat. To be honest, the news was a little hard for me to take because I have a passion for covering college hockey and, probably foolishly, thought I'd be doing it forever. But things change in life, and I'm happy to still be able to work for the CT. And I'm excited about my new role, which has me involved in video production and other multimedia efforts like we did at Minnesota a couple of weeks ago. I won't be dropping off the college hockey scene completely, though. My blog at USCHO.com will keep going -- maybe even grow -- and I'll still be writing... READ MORE
Wisconsin Badgers women's hockey gameday: Game 30 -- Badgers 3, Gophers 3 (UW wins shootout 1-0)
Postscript The Wisconsin Badgers women's hockey team got the two points it needed from Sunday's game against Minnesota. Duggan, the final shootout shooter, scored on a nice backhand to give the Badgers the extra point, but that late lead wasted will probably be on their mind... READ MORE

Postscript Road sweeps are big. Road sweeps at Mariucci Arena are huge. Road sweeps at Mariucci Arena that net you a share of the WCHA lead with four weeks to play? We'll find out a way to describe that here somewhere. The Wisconsin Badgers men's hockey team pulled it off Saturday behind a pair of goals from John Mitchell and 33 saves from Shane Connelly. It was a character win in that the Badgers lost a 3-1 lead in the second period but responded less than two minutes later with a Jamie McBain power play goal to go ahead again. With Denver's 4-2 loss at Minnesota-Duluth, the Badgers have caught the Pioneers with matching 13-7-2 league records and 28 points. Three stars No. 3 -- Shane Connelly, UW (33 saves): A stop on Ryan Stoa late kept the Badgers ahead. No. 2 -- Jamie McBain, UW (1 goal, 2... READ MORE
