Two Wisconsin recruits are experiencing a shake-up in the coaching staff of their junior team.
The Green Bay Gamblers of the United States Hockey League have fired coach Mark Mazzoleni. Assistant coach Dave Insalaco will be the interim head coach and general manager.
The Gamblers are last in the USHL's East Division with an 11-30-4 record.
Mazzoleni, the former coach at Harvard who
built his coaching reputation at UW-Stevens Point, is a Green Bay
native who was in his fourth season with the Gamblers. He took over
for Mark Osiecki, who left to become the Badgers' assistant
coach.
Green Bay goaltender Aaron Crandall and defenseman Ryan Little are
UW recruits.
Todd D. Milewski is in his fifth season covering the UW men's hockey team for The Capital Times and in his 10th season covering college hockey.
