UW men's hockey: Drewiske MVP; Street, Geoffrion get the 'C'

Davis Drewiske was named the winner of the Spike Carlson MVP award at Wisconsin's season-ending banquet tonight at the Edgewater Hotel.

Drewiske, the senior captain who led the youngest UW team in 21 years, also earned the W Club Community Service Award.

Meanwhile, coach Mike Eaves announced that next year's leadership will consist of co-captains Ben Street and Blake Geoffrion and no assistant captains.

Here's the list of award winners:

W Club Community Service: Drewiske
Ivan B. Williamson Scholastic: Matthew Ford
Otto Breitenbach Most Improved Player: John Mitchell
Fenton Kelsey Jr. Most Competitive Player: Blake Geoffrion
Dr. Joseph Coyne Most Consistent Player: Jamie McBain
Jim Santulli 7th Man: Josh Engel
Mel Ross Distinguished Service: Art Schultz
