CapTimes Redesign

CT: Next

Because change is constant

Redesign: Day 1

The Capital Times  —

Welcome to The Cap Times' redesign blog, where we will try to keep you in the loop as we work on this project over the coming months. With the end of the daily Cap Times just two days away, the focus has now become the Web site and the Wednesday and Thursday print products, Cap times and 77 Square, respectively.

Please give us your feedback about our changes and let us know what you like or don't like, what you'd like to see and what makes you come to our site.

Today we are adding our first new elements to the pages of our site, which includes a top 5 listing of stories and an expanded "latest news" section.

The top 5 sections will appear on the homepage, the news page and the sports pages. It's basically an "editor's choice" of our more in-depth stories of the day.

In the "latest news" portion of the homepage, you can get the most recent news from the Madison and Dane County area. If a story has been posted within the hour, a time stamp will appear next to the headline to let you know just how fresh the story is.

about this blog

As we transition from a daily paper with a website to a breaking news website and a weekly news and opinion magazine, we will blog our progress and seek your feedback.
