Charter honors local small businesses

Stoddard's Meat Market has been named "Small Business of the Month" for May by Charter Business, the B2B (business to business) unit of local cable provider Charter Communications.

In addition to Stoddard's, weekly winners in May were Spring Harbor Animal Hospital, TQ Diamonds and Strictly Discs, Charter said in a news release.

Each winner has been featured on a digital billboard in Madison in an effort to raise public awareness of their services.

Charter will continue the contest through Aug. 1. Anyone can nominate a business by going to www.wiba.com and filling out Charter's "Small Business of the Week" form. Winners are announced on the air every Friday between 6 and 8 a.m. when Dick Albert of News Talk 1310 WIBA randomly selects a "Small Business of the Week" winner. Weekly winners are entered into the monthly drawing to receive free advertising on both WIBA and Charter television properties.
