A Madison company that develops Web sites for television and radio stations nationwide has launched service for eight of the largest NBC affiliates in the nation.

Broadcast Interactive Media announced Thursday that its products are now being used by NBC stations in New York; Los Angeles; Dallas-Fort Worth; San Francisco; Philadelphia; Washington, D.C.; Hartford, Conn.; and San Diego.

The company has already been providing service for NBC Chicago.

"The NBC Chicago launch and the entire NBC project is a tremendous step for BIM," said President and CEO Timur Yarnall. "It's an exciting model, one that marks what we believe is the future of local media's digital efforts."

Yarnall said TV stations want flexibility and control over their Web sites without having to build those systems internally.

Broadcast Interactive utilizes Clickability Inc. as its exclusive partner in providing content management systems to more than 150 TV and radio station clients throughout the country.

BIM has about 40 employees at its offices in the Hovde building at 122 W. Washington Ave. in downtown Madison.
