The Industry Meltdown Midwest Music Summit, scheduled for July 26, has been postponed "due to unanticipated circumstances," according to an email sent this morning by the event's organizer, Greg Doby. It's tentatively rescheduled for September 20.
Doby had planned panel discussions centered around the Midwestern hip hop scene, with industry representatives from record labels and Chicago rapper Kanye West as a headlining guest. Read more about the event here. Visit http://www.unidecmusic.com/ to see the Summit's complete original line-up.
Doby wrote this morning, "We apologize for the last minute notice and for any inconveniences, as we know you have made arrangements for the previous date [...] We do plan to move forward and anticipate greater success with your continued commitment for September."
Stay tuned...
