Although I-94 between Lake Mills and Johnson Creek is now open, there is only one lane of traffic in each direction and drivers could face delays, especially during peak commute times. People traveling from Madison to Milwaukee -- especially those headed to Saturday's Brewers game -- may want to consider an alternate route.
Here is a link to one possibility, running thorugh Watertown. Google suggests this route will take 38 minutes longer than I-94 with no lane closures.
The Capital Times' Tim Nott reported Saturday
afternoon that traffic on I-94 heading toward Milwaukee is crawling
at less than 10 miles per hour just ahead of the lane closures, but
the alternate route through Watertown is free and clear.
What routes have you traveled since the detour and the bypass have gone into effect?
