The 13th annual Soap Box Derby was held Saturday on the Rosa Road hill next to Garner Park.
Hosted by the Madison West Kiwanis, the races featured more than 40 boys and girls aged 8 to 16 racing in three different classes.
Bryce Dickson, 14, of Monroe, won the Masters division, which includes races with advanced racing skills.
Matthew Hundt, 12, of Lake Mills, took the Superstock division, which accommodates youth racers who weigh more than 110 pounds.
Miha Limatainen, 11, of Monroe, placed first
in the Stock division, which is designed for slightly smaller
children.
The winners of each class will represent Madison in the All-American Soap Box Derby in Akron, Ohio, at the end of July.
Each driver runs the hill at least four times, or until another racer defeats him or her twice.
