A 67-year-old woman from South Korea was killed Friday evening in a one-vehicle accident on Interstate 39/90 near Edgerton.
Myungja Ahn was pronounced dead following the accident, which occurred at 7:03 p.m. Ahn, who was not wearing a seat belt, was partially ejected from the 2004 Honda Odyssey minivan.
The other four people in the vehicle -- her son, daughter-in-law and two grandchildren, all from Rochester, Minn. -- escaped with non-life threatening injuries, the Wisconsin State Patrol announced in a statement.
That includes Ahn's 11-year-old grandson, who also apparently was not wearing a seat belt.
El Kim -- a 41-year-old female and Ahn's daughter-in-law -- was driving northbound on the Interstate when she lost control near mile marker 160. The vehicle entered the median, where it rolled over several times before coming to rest.
Alcohol does not appear to be a factor in the incident. No action has been taken against Kim, but an investigation is pending.
Kim and the other passengers -- Kim's husband, Baek Joo, 44, and their daughter, 14 -- were wearing their seat belts.
