PARDEEVILLE -- A former Pardeeville man accused of being a deadbeat dad for five years has been arrested after he came back to town for his mother's funeral.
Forty-two-year-old Todd W. Bubolz of Brownsville, Texas, was arrested at a restaurant Thursday evening. He had returned to the Pardeeville area after his mother died Tuesday.
An arrest warrant had been issued for Bubolz in 2003 after five felony counts of failing to pay child support were filed against him.
Prosecutors say he was ordered in 2001 to pay $152 per week to support his four children. Court records show he owes almost $13,000.
The charges carry a maximum penalty of 75 years in prison and a $250,000 fine.
A pretrial conference has been set for August 15.
