21 ejected from UW football game

Twenty-one fans were ejected from Camp Randall on Saturday as the Wisconsin Badgers routed Marshall University's Thundering Herd 51-14.

Eight people, four of them UW students, were cited for underage consumption of alcohol. One also was ticketed for throwing hard objects, according to UW-Madison Police and Security.

Twelve others were ejected but not ticketed: nine for possession of alcohol or being intoxicated, two for sitting in the wrong section and one on another unspecified charge.

The number of people ejected from games can vary, judging from past reports. About 100 have been ejected from night games, while earlier start times -- like this 11 a.m. game -- keep ejection numbers down.
