Suspect nabbed in northeast side robbery
A Madison man was charged with strong armed robbery after assaulting and robbing a 39-year-old man late Thursday afternoon on the 1800 block of Heath Avenue on the city's northeast side.
Eric P. Nolen, 21, allegedly punched the man in the head and robbed him of his money and cell phone. Nearby residents called police after they heard the victim screaming for help as he lay in the street in front of their homes.
Officers searched the immediate area and located the suspect. The victim's cash and phone were recovered.
