Victim shot multiple times

Douglas D. Deviney, who was shot multiple times during a violent domestic incident early Sunday morning, is expected to recover from his injuries, according to information released by the Dane County Sheriff's Office around 10 a.m. Sunday.

Dane County deputies and officers from Sauk Prairie were called to a residence at 7554 U.S. Highway 12 in the Town of Roxbury at about 3:40 a.m. Sunday.

Deviney was transported by ambulance to Sauk Prairie Memorial Hospital and then sent by Med-Flite to UW Hospital in Madison where he is said to be in stable condition and likely to recover.

According to a report released by Dane County's Lt. Jeff Blakley, all participants in the incident are accounted for and a gun has been recovered. Those involved know each other well and the incident is under investigation.

The Sheriff's Office and the District Attorney's Office are consulting about possible charges in the shooting.
