A 51-year-old Oregon man was arrested for a fifth drunk driving offense Saturday night after reportedly driving into a "road closed" stretch of highway in the town of Oregon.
Raymond Hilgers was being held at the Dane County Jail, according to a report from the Dane County Sheriff's Office.
The report said a sheriff's deputy observed Hilgers passing a "road closed" sign on Glenway Road about 7 p.m. Saturday and then watched him turn onto Bell Brook Road, which is closed for construction. The deputy stopped Hilgers and arrested him on the OWI charge and also cited him for failure to obey a stop sign and operating after revocation.
