Motorcyclist killed in crash
A 45-year-old Johnson Creek man was killed Sunday when the motorcycle he was driving missed a curve and hit a telephone pole on County N in the town of Milford in Jefferson County.
Thomas A. Bemis was northbound on County N near Church Road at about 5 p.m. when his motorcycle left the highway, entered a ditch and struck the pole.
Bemis was pronounced dead at the scene by the Jefferson County coroner's office.
Bemis was not wearing a helmet.
The crash remains under investigation by the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office.
