Free public workshop on fighting foreclosure
A free public workshop for homeowners hoping to prevent foreclosures and minimize financial loss will take place Monday, June 30, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Blackhawk Technical College, 6004 S. County Road G, in Janesville.
U.S. Rep. Tammy Baldwin, D-Madison, and U.S. Rep. Paul Ryan, R-Janesville, will welcome participants.
Officials from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development and the University of Wisconsin-Extension will give a presentation about ways to preserve home ownership in a difficult economic climate.
Following that presentation, representatives of financial institutions will offer one-on-one counseling to individuals.
