Attempted home burglary may be related to others
An attempted home burglary in Madison early Friday morning could be related to two burglaries reported to Middleton police a short time earlier.
Madison police responded to an attempted break-in at 3:41 a.m. at a residence in the 900 block of Pebble Beach Drive.
The homeowner awakened after hearing someone trying to open a sliding glass door, with the homeowner spotting two men fleeing in a smaller SUV, possibly a RAV4.
Two homes were burglarized in Middleton around 3 a.m. Friday, one on Elmwood Avenue and the other on Countryside Lane, both several blocks away from the attempted burglary on Pebble Beach Drive.
