A 53-year-old man was arrested late Tuesday morning after he entered a service bay at Middleton Ford and told employees that he had a bomb in the trunk of his vehicle. The man then removed a box from his trunk, telling the dealership's employees, "It's OK, it's defused."

Officers from the Middleton Police Department responded to the scene, and the building was evacuated. The box was found to contain a harmless car radio. The man was placed under arrest and transported to a local hospital for mental evaluation, according to Lt. Noel Kakuske.

Charges have not yet been filed. The man expressed no particular animosity toward the business, and his motivations have not been determined.
