Magician, illusionist performing Sunday to benefit vets
Magician and illusionist Glen Gerard is performing a 90-minute show Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Veterans Of Foreign Wars Post 7591 Hall at 301 Cottage Grove Road.
Admission is $7 with the funds raised going for hospitalized and homebound veterans and Operation Uplink, which provides troops overseas with prepaid telephone calling cards so they can call family members back in the states.
Gerard has appeared all over the world, on cruise ships and in Las Vegas, according to a press release announcing the event.
The "old time, family oriented magic show" will feature comedy, sleight of hand, stage illusions and "plenty of audience participation."
