The man charged with the shooting death of his ex-girlfriend's boyfriend last summer will stand trial on charges of first-degree intentional homicide.
James P. Bohanan, 35, who appeared in Dane County Circuit Court Wednesday morning for his final pretrial hearing, will be back in court April 21 for the start of the jury trial. Jury selection will occur April 20.
At a preliminary hearing this summer, a witness testified that Bohanan shot Kevin K. Cobbins of Waunakee several times after leaving a party at a duplex on Loreen Drive during the early morning hours of July 28, 2007. Bohanan eluded authorities for 10 months until he was arrested May 12 in Chicago by members of the U.S. Marshal's Service, the Great Lakes Regional Fugitive Task Force and the Chicago Police Department.
