Dear Editor: Who is running the financial department of our city? To make such a mistake in overcharging taxes for Walgreens -- it makes homeowners wonder if they are being overcharged as we do know our property taxes are way too high. Now to make up for this error, I suppose the city will increase property taxes more. Shame, shame. Who audits their books?

Editor's note: There was a dispute over the method the city used to determine the amount of property taxes, and Walgreens won that dispute in a case before the Wisconsin Supreme Court.
