The Big Ten Network will say "On Wisconsin!" next Thursday, June 19, with 24 consecutive hours of Badger programming.
The day will feature some of Wisconsin's best performances in 2007-08, including the Big Ten Men's Basketball Tournament championship game against Illinois, the thrilling road win at Indiana thanks to Brian Butch's last-second heroics, the Big Ten Indoor Track and Field Championships and the women's soccer team's win against Ohio State.
In addition, the 2008 spring football game will air in its entirety at 9 a.m.
At 8 p.m., BTN will present a special edition of "Big Ten Tonight," the "Wisconsin Year in Review." The show will recap all the great Badger moments of the past 12 months.
The network also will re-air three Wisconsin victories from the series, "Big Ten's Greatest Games," including the 2003 football victory against Ohio State, the 1999 Rose Bowl win against UCLA and the 1997 men's basketball victory against Minnesota.
The schedule also contains more than four hours of campus programming produced by the UW, including the program "First Wave" and five episodes from the series "Wisconsin Reflections" that profile famous UW graduates such as CBS News Reporter Kelly Cobiella, former three-time Big Ten Female Athlete of the Year Suzy Favor Hamilton, national radio show host Michael Feldman, Wisconsin women's hockey coach and Olympic gold medalist Mark Johnson, and Grammy-winning songwriter Allee Willis.
BTN is carried by satellite providers DirecTV
and DISH Network as well as MHTC, which provides cable services to
the Mount Horeb/Dodgeville/Blue Mounds area. Charter
Communications, the dominant cable provider in the Madison area,
does not carry BTN.
