Prep Profile: Troy Zeman, Lodi

Year: Senior.

Sports: wrestling, football.

Fast facts: Zeman is a three-time letterwinner in wrestling for the Blue Devils, who won the 2008 WIAA Division 2 team state wrestling championship. Zeman finished with a 39-11 record at 160 pounds as a senior. A co-captain, he was a regional champion and individual state qualifier. He wrestled at 171 pounds as a junior, finishing with a 34-12 record and winning a regional title. His sophomore season, he competed at 171 pounds and finished 31-12. He was a conference and regional champion. Lodi won three straight conference titles and qualified for the WIAA Division 2 team state tournament all three of his varsity seasons, also finishing second his sophomore year. Zeman was a three-time letterwinner and a two-year starter at fullback and defensive end in football. He earned All-Capitol North Conference first team honors at defensive end as a senior and junior. Lodi won the Capitol North title his junior year and he earned a Coaches Award and served as a game captain as a senior.

Cumulative grade-point average: 3.0.

How I got started in sports: I started playing tee-ball in kindergarten and football in fourth grade and wrestling in fifth grade.

I wish I could play: hockey.

My most memorable moments in sports were: winning the Division 2 team state wrestling championship my senior year.

I enjoy high school sports because: they are about more than winning. They are about having fun competing.

I enjoy competing in wrestling because: it is a one-on-one sport but you can also help your team win, too.

I will remember most about high school: competing in and watching sports.

This and that: member of Lodi Area Teen Vision program works part-time on dad's cattle farm and also milks cows volunteer work includes helping set up, maintain and take down park benches in town competed in youth wrestling tournaments during the summer plans to help coach with Lodi High School wrestling program next year hobbies include hunting, snowmobiling, mountain biking.

Post-high school plans: work for a landscaping company for a year and then attend Blackhawk Technology School in Janesville beginning in 2009.

Career: electrical linesman.
