FSN Wisconsin to air 25 Bucks games in HD

FSN Wisconsin on Friday announced that 25 of its 70 Milwaukee Bucks telecasts in the 2008-09 season are scheduled to be in high definition.

The first Bucks HD telecast will be Nov. 8 against the Phoenix Suns. The full schedule of Bucks HD games on FSN Wisconsin, which is subject to change, is at the end of this story. Viewers also can go to www.facebook.com -- keyword: FSN Wisconsin -- for the up-to-date HD schedule and local channel listings.

FSN previously announced that over the next year its 16 regional sports networks plan to produce more than 1,600 live HD telecasts of NBA, MLB and NHL games. That includes every FSN baseball telecast next season, including all Milwaukee Brewers games on FSN Wisconsin.

Charter Communications, the Madison area's dominant cable provider, carries FSN Wisconsin in HD on Channel 761. However, the channel only carries programming when FSN Wisconsin is broadcasting in HD, with other FSN Wisconsin fare remaining on Channel 26.

No. 1 satellite provider DirecTV carries FSN Wisconsin on channel 669 and FSN Wisconsin HD on 669-1. The channel is only active during certain times, such as broadcasts of Brewers and Milwaukee Bucks games, as it is an offshoot of FSN North, which carries telecasts of Minnesota Twins and Timberwolves and Wild games.

No. 2 satellite provider DISH Network carries FSN North on channel 436, and when there are conflicts -- for example, both Brewers and Twins games airing at the same time -- the Minnesota games air on 436 and FSN Wisconsin airs the Wisconsin team games on one of its alternate channels 444-453.
