Mallards: Familiar voices back in 2008

The Capital Times  —  4/29/2008 8:54 am

The Madison Mallards will have familiar voices both inside the park and over the airwaves this summer.

Aaron Sims returns for his fifth season as the public address announcer at Warner Park despite a recent promotion at his winter job with the Milwaukee Admirals.

Sims has served the last three years as the play-by-play announcer for the American Hockey League club, recently was hired to run that franchise's season and group ticket sales.

Meanwhile, Ben Larson will return for a second season as radio play-by-play announcer for Mallards broadcasts on WTLX-FM/100.5.

Larson is the former host of Sports Talk on WTDY-AM and currently reads sports segments each morning on WJJO-FM/94.1.
