Packers to play in charity softball game at Duck Pond

Green Bay Packers running back Vernand Morency headlines a list of nine Packers scheduled to play in a charity softball game against Madison firefighters at the Madison Mallards Duck Pond in Warner Park May 17.

Packers players tentatively joining Morency include wide receivers Ruvell Martin, James Jones, Shaun Bodiford and Chris Francies, safety Tyrone Culver, running back Noah Herron, tight end Tory Humphrey and cornerback Tramon Williams.

Proceeds from the charity game will go to the Professional Firefighters of Wisconsin.

The game will start at 2 p.m. with gates open at 1 p.m. Player autographs will be available before the game.

Tickets are $15.83 and can be purchased online at mallardsbaseball.com or by phone at 246-4277.
