Losby was a three-time letterwinner in football, starting at running back as a junior and senior and serving as a reserve cornerback on defense as a senior. He ran for 1,513 yards and nine touchdowns during his varsity career, including 850 yards and five TDs as a senior, when he earned All-Badger North Conference honorable mention. Losby was a two-time letterwinner in basketball, starting at guard as a senior.
