Prep highlights: Phelan is a three-time letterwinner with a prep career record of 72-8 entering her senior year as a doubles tennis player for the Crusaders. She is a co-captain and a member of the No. 1 doubles team with Brianna Piddington this season. Phelan is a three-time state qualifier at the WIAA individual state tournament, finishing sixth and earning second-team all-state honors with a 22-9 record as a junior. She played No. 1 doubles as a sophomore and No. 2 doubles as a freshman. Edgewood has won three consecutive Badger South Conference titles during her prep career. Phelan also served as a manager for the Edgewood freshman boys' basketball team her freshman year.

When I got started in sports: I started playing tennis when I was 5 years old, swimming when I was 8 years old and playing volleyball when I was 11 years old.
I wish I could play: soccer
My most memorable moment in sports was: playing Big Foot in a sectional tennis final my sophomore year on a sprained ankle. We lost in three sets but I enjoyed the moment.

This and that: member of National Honor Society and Sisters Taking Active Roles plays the piano and has participated in solo and ensemble competition plays in USTA tennis tournaments in summer plays tennis at Cherokee Country Club in the winter and Nakoma Country Club in the summer member of High Honor Roll throughout high school and two-time recipient of Academic Excellence award volunteer work includes Junior Cross program working in Chicago with low income families, serving as a Spring Harbor Middle School youth tennis coach and Rising Star volunteer coaching youth tennis hobbies include boating, playing the piano, yoga, listening to music, shopping, working out.
Post-high school plans: attend college to study pre-medicine and possibly play tennis
