The Wisconsin men's basketball team was named Big Ten Men's Team of the Year by the Big Ten Network on Friday.

In the first-ever season-ending awards show, Wisconsin edged the Iowa wrestling team and the Michigan baseball team en route to adding this award to its display case.

Wisconsin posted a school-record 31 wins on the year en route to winning both the regular season and conference tournament titles for the first time in school history. The Badgers also piled up 16 Big Ten wins, the most in the conference since Indiana went 17-1 in 1992-93.

Head coach Bo Ryan accepted the honor on Friday's awards show.
